Fairy Tale retellings are my favorite, and my favorite villain has always been Jafar. If you have not read this series, you need to run to it. Book 1 is Jafar and Jasmine (and who isn’t a sucker when the villain gets the girl).

I wouldn't call this a 4 star read but it was better than a 3 star!

Pros: Sexy Jafar? I'm a fan. The smut is quite smutty indeed, and I liked the performances in the audio version (though Ali being voiced like a child was mildly distracting).
Cons: Definitely some dubcon, especially at the beginning of the story. For the first book in a series, it feels weirdly more like a novella than a book. Plot only kicks in roughly 2/3 of the way through; the rest is erotica and light world-building. It irritated me that the plot twist was pretty much exactly the same as the one in the last book that I read by this author.

Honestly all the sidenotes and astrixes by the author to explain what she wrote was obnoxious.
Like it's not hot to over explain every scene, fiction is better when you use the writing to make the points. Use TW for content and a opening disclaimer by all means, but for me it ruined the whole book.

I was looking for a smutty book and I got a smutty book. Delicious and SPICY HOT with tons of chili peppers.
At first I was hesitant because I never liked Jafar... he always came across as a slimy eel. But I guess that’s the whole point of this series is to turn your evil childhood villains into hot sexy lovers.
One thing is this book does have a plot twist which I like but I think is carried out too fast.
All in all, I got what I came for so me is happy.

Literally could not put this book down. It was so good!!!! Definitely am excited to read more of her books but I’m mad they aren’t on Kindle Unlimited. This book is all smut with a touch of plot, so be warned.
