As with all of Laura Wood's books this was a cute, fun read that I really enjoyed! The characters felt different and distinct from her other books, and although I didn't enjoy this one quite as much as the first book in the series it was still a good read. I love how flowers are used throughout the book, especially as someone who is getting into gardening and appreciating nature more at this time of year. I wasn't completely convinced by the romance- it felt a bit too rushed and like there wasn't quite enough build-up- but the rest of the plot was interesting enough, although the resolution and ending also felt a bit too quick and convenient. It goes without saying that I can't wait to see what YA book comes next from this author, hopefully we get more in this series!

Wonderful, heartwarming and just brilliant. I loved Marigold and Oliver is such a sweet grump and they both are just adorable. The plot is again magnificent. I really love Laura Wood’s writing and she makes her characters so vivid and alive without it being too modern. It’s still set in late Victorian period, but with women who have a fire inside them that won’t be quenched by society’s expectations of them and will fight the injustice towards women wherever that might be. Love love love it.

A bunch of my read books got deleted so I lost my reviews 😭😭😭😭😭😭, but this is the best book I've ever read
