I really liked this book but it was very hard to get through the first half and some of the stuff that happens can be really triggering and there were no trigger warnings but I did enjoy the second half of the book but I can see why others did not like it.

I had a tough time relating to Merit since I was on the outside looking in. This wasn't a twisty book, but when all the secrets were revealed, I had to finish reading. I would be interested in more YA novels by CoHo.

This was a lot different than the other Hoover books I've read. I thought it was a great story not only about a budding romance, but the struggles of family, especially when there are many secrets buried underneath the surface causing division.

I liked this book, it’s got a few flaws however. one main one was the amount of incest involved, it was a bit offputting. however, it was still a good read.

I don’t get it. Did I read a mental health book? A romance? A mystery? I’ve got no clue

I think this book is an incredible introduction to mental health for young people. It was realistic, but still entertaining. If I'd read this at 15, I would've devoured it and found it life changing! As an adult, it was an entertaining, reflective, escapist read.
