I’m noticing a trend in the two Colleen Hoover books I’ve read so far: she weaves difficult topics into love stories that make them hard to forget. The last book of hers I read, “It Ends With Us,” tackled the cycle of domestic abuse and the complexity of those relationships. “Without Merit” dealt with depression and suicide in a pretty approachable way. There were times I felt she was making a point explicitly that could have been inferred, but it didn’t really take away too much. If you’re looking for a romance with substance, she’s a good choice

Definitely super enjoyable. Don't love reading about mental health in this way, but I loved Sagan.

I read this book in a day, it is a very easy read. Considers the complicated relationships among blended families, with a great deal of emphasis on mental health. Also fun romance!
