For a debut novel, I think this has decent world-building, and I fell in love with the characters.

I’ve been a long time fan of Kelsey, so it makes me so happy to see her go for her dreams with Voice of the Ocean. She’s always been a great storyteller, but this book was a new level for her. The writing, plot, and characters felt effortlessly done. I enjoyed Celeste’s journey, and accepting who she is rather than listening to all the negative things about herself. Those negative voices are so strong, but once you hear your own that’s the kind of strength they can never take away again.

I really didn’t expect to love this as much as I did, since i’m not a fan of fairy tale re-tellings. this was so fun and fresh. kelsey’s world building was amazing and well thought out. the plot was interesting with many twists and turns. I loved celeste <3
