I loved this book! It had all of the vibes of The Little Mermaid except with sirens, pirates, and more unique spins on details of the original story. I really enjoyed the main character Celeste who wasn’t afraid to feel her emotions, be kind to others, and be brave for herself. She was sweet and clever and I loved watching her form relationships with the different side characters in this story. The love interest was a little hot and cold and I didn’t fully fall for his charms, but he was definitely a flirt and I liked the banter between him and Celeste.

The middle of this book was a little slow at times, but there were still fun moments of found-family and self-discovery for Celeste. Then the last 10% of the book took a sharp left turn that I didn’t see coming and I had to put in effort to keep up with all the new realizations and action. I love a good pirate book but sometimes they can be repetitive with the only scenery being a ship, but for the most part this one held my attention and was a great story of sirens and pirates. I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves The Little Mermaid movie!

This was a great story, especially for a debut novel! The characters were loveable and complex, and overall the plot was intriguing and fresh. It was fun to have a soft-girl fmc as opposed to the standard YA main character we usually see. I enjoyed this story a lot and am so proud of Kelsey!

Absolutely loved this book! Definitely picked it up at the right time for me. I felt like I was a teenager again, picking up the fantasy books that got her back into reading.

It was so fast paced, and the plot never dulled. The characters were all loveable in some way, and I'm obsessed with this found family on the Red Revenge. I think I'm biased towards pirate and mermaid books, so that might be swaying my love, but I can see myself re-reading this easily. The only sad thing about finishing this book is having to wait a year for the next one. Can't wait!!

I always did love reading about sirens/mermaids and pirates. I enjoyed the diversity in characters and the dynamics surrounding the Song and Chorus. As always, found family hits different.

This book was amazing to read from the descriptions to the dialogue and conflicts. It was an emotional rolelrcoater and I cried, screamed, laughed, and blushed all the way through. It was a book that combined my love of the story of The Little Mermaid and Pirates of The Caribbean in the best way possible. I can't wait to see what the crew gets up to next!
