i have known about this book since elementary school and after years i got to read it. to me honestly the start was kind of slow and uninteresting but i get that the book has to start somewhere. the story is very dark and depressing. towards the end it feels repetitive but it does reflect the cycle that christiane was in, trying to get better though it seemed like it would never end. i think everyone should read this book, especially younger people, as prevention. it is very important to know what substances can do and that addiction shouldn’t be taken lightly.

Sehr interessanter Einblick in die Drogenszene Berlins und wie einfach man dort bereits als Kind hereingerät. Es war sehr emotional zu hören, wie hilflos Christiane war und wie sie offenen Auges in diesen Sumpf abgerutscht ist. Die mehreren Entzugsversuche mit den Ausmalungen für die Zukunft haben dies noch unterstrichen. Wie oft hat sie es versucht und ist dann doch wieder beim Heroin gelandet. Dabei auch mit vielen Wirren Dingen, welche sie sich selbst eingeredet hat. Ich konnte mir beinahe nicht vorstellen, dass es sowas damals in Berlin gab/immer noch gibt, auch mit dem Strich....
Sehr traurig, aber auch irgendwie ein faszinierender Einblick in eine ganz andere Welt.
