i am 100% obsessed with this book— i am looking forward to finishing this series.

i love the development of the characters in this book. i feel like you actually get a pretty decent background into delilah and even astrid. i truly loved the relationships that were built in the story and how everything played out. i think this story was even better since it was written by a queer author so nothing felt forced in any aspect!! i cannot wait for astrid’s story !

So this is actually the last Brights Falls book I read. I had received ARCs for the second and third installment and it just took me a while to check out Delilah Green Doesn’t Care from my library. Unfortunately, I was disappointed.

I’m kind of glad I didn’t read this book first because it made me dislike several of the characters in the other books. Iris comes off as a bully who relentlessly mocked Delilah throughout their childhood. Astrid comes off as purposefully excluding of Delilah (and although it’s easier to understand where she’s coming from at the end of this book, there’s still a LOT of page time spent without that information). And finally Claire, ugh. Delilah’s love interest and someone who stood by, and sometimes laughed, while Iris bullied. Why would I ship this woman with Delilah?

The writing was pretty immersive just like the rest of the books and I liked Delilah quite a bit so I gave the book three stars. Basically if the bullying had been taken out I wouldn’t have any issues with this.

Loved this so much! Fun, spicy, great banter & the best found family. No complaints from me, so wholesome.
