Cute story. The name mix-up/not told seemed a little far fetched but I still liked the story idea and ending.

Yes, it was predictable. Yes, it was a bit silly. But I still raced through this book and thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent writing, great characters, and a funny twist on penpal relationships.

This was a lovely lighthearted romance story that had me smiling throughout.

While the twist was obvious, it was still done well and effectively. I don’t think anyone would actually act this way in real life, but I could be wrong! Not a fan of miscommunication tropes usually, but this felt more than that… I do wish some plot developments were different but that doesn’t mean that they were bad.

The idea of a pen pal turned love interest is very nice, I do love that they were just horrific to each other. Kept it interesting throughout.

Joyful and fuzzy.

I loved this premise behind this! Even though I wasn't surprised by the plot twist, it was a sweet story.

This was such an adorable romance novel. The cover is really cute. I enjoyed every second of it reading the FMC try to find the MMC. I suspected pretty early on what was going on, but I still loved how the plot rolled out.

The characters were really well flushed out. I really enjoyed the side characters and what they added to the plot.

The pacing was steady. I think the dual POV worked out great for this story.

Banter and dialogue was really good. I really enjoyed the almost enemies to friends to lovers pipeline that this book followed. The dark humor involved was right up my alley and made me laugh out loud.

Thank you NetGalley and Harper Collins UK, One More Chapter for an eARC of this book. All opinions are my own

I devoured this book. It was amazing. Naomi and Luca will forever be my favourites. This book was so well written with amazing characters that I couldn’t help but love.
As I started this book I got a bit disappointed when I thought there’d be a love triangle. It wasn’t until about half way that i got the twist. That Jake and Luca were the same person. I just loved it even more.

Childhood penpals
Enemies to lovers
He falls first

I really enjoyed this book. Luca and Naomi felt so perfect together and I loved the dual POV.
Getting to read the letters they wrote spanning almost 20 years was great and made me fall in love with them so fast.

I didn’t like Anne at all and got very bad vibes from her immediately. She’s very pushy and just doesn’t seem like a good friend.
I also didn’t really like the ending. It felt kind of rushed and I wish we got more in the epilogue.

Overall though, it was a very fun and flirty read.

this was exactly the fluffy romcom i wanted for valentine's day.

luca and naomi are childhood "penemies" to lovers, as donna marchetti coined the term herself lol. their letters to each other were hilarioussss i was cackling. it was a really interesting weaving of letters, past POV, and present time to figure out their whole story. it was super sweet and funny and even some emotional moments for luca's backstory.

this was one of my fav contemp reads so far this year!
