Fantastic book, compelling storyline, even though not much actually happens after 1 traumatic event

Didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did, extremely readable (or listenable, as I went with the brilliantly acted Audiobook) and Adam, the books narrator, is perfectly realised.

This was good but I didn't love it. I'm more into her ghosty stuff. Not quite as page turnery as Ghost Wall or Cold Earth.
I wrote a tinyletter on Sarah Moss that reviews all the novels mentioned here: https://tinyletter.com/imsorrydonnatartt/letters/i-m-sorry-sarah-moss

This was really well written and I loved the authors tone and approach to life
"You cant prevent the pain of love by creating new people"
Also love books featuring places like the Midlands which most people forget about in literature
The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because it sort of unravelled towards the end, like the author had a clear intention in mind at the beginning which slowly became less obvious
