Wow this narrator is so melodramatic. I mean, sure, his kid almost died or whatever, but like...can we cut out the overly flowery prose? I feel like I’ve chosen “death by potpourri” in a Choose your Own Adventure novel. I am SMOTHERED by purple petals.

I really wanted to like this, but I could barely get past page 40. I might grab this book off the shelf, dust off the pollen, and make another attempt at some point, but for now it’s gonna be a no for me dawg.

Brilliant as an audiobook. Toby Longworth did a great job.

Too artsy for my taste. Not unreadable, and okay when you get into it, but not much really happens. I guess if you like realism you might like this, and it does deal with the issues of finding your purpose and coping with the fear of losing someone in a pretty interesting way, but I just didn't like it really.
