I really enjoyed the experience of revisiting the characters in Chloe Gong's universe with low stakes and fully in their love and peace times.

AHHH if you haven't read the secret shanghai universe yet then this is your sign to go read it!

how did ms. gong manage to put one of the most important plot twists within these two novellas?! i got confused when i started reading because i wasn't sure if i mixed up the dates but i didn't?! omg?!

i've seen some reviews that said that this read like a fanfic and i agree. however, did i eat this up? absolutely yes. i was just happy to see some of my fav couples living their best lives (kinda) being all domesticated and happily married. i'm excited (but sad to finish) to continue with the series and read foul heart huntsman so i can see everyone finally reunite and work together.
