I was actually looking for the original version of pride and prejudice but stumbled upon this remix. I ended up liking it very much.
Very sweet story! I like this somewhat realistically queer take on Pride & Prejudice. Darcy and Oliver were quite lovely together, though the romance developed a bit quickly for my taste. Oliver was a good protagonist overall; I like how witty and principled he was, however he was a bit self-centered sometimes and I’m not sure if he was meant to come off that way or not. Still, I liked him! The ending was very cute, perhaps almost too cute for me as I become more cynical in my older age but I am glad there are sweet and engaging stories like this out there for us queers :)

I enjoyed finding how Darcy and Oliver fit perfectly together. I thinking I need to rewatch one of the movies based on Pride and Prejudice.
No but seriously imagine it: You're seeing fall out boy on a concert. Everyone is having a great time. Fall out boy seem a little excited. "We have a surprise for you guys." Partick says. All of a sudden P!ATD come out and start singing "this is gospel." When Brendon gets to the chorus, someone else starts singing...
"When I was a young boy my father took me into the city to see a marching band."
Lights flash everywhere, and you see FOB singing "this is gospel" along with P!ATD, while MCR is singing "Black parade". Everyone in the crowd is going wild and crying. Then if things couldn't get any better, Dan and Phil walk onto stage and kiss, holding the gay flag.

I was really excited to read this and I guess it just wasn't what I expected. i admire the creativity and I think the story is sweet. I think I would've liked it better if it weren't a remix of P&P and I didn't have those characters to compare it to!
fast-paced
fun and cute. obviously not the original but that’s ok it’s not trying to be
4.5*, was kicking my feet and giggling for most of the book because the romance was so sweet, plus it was a trans retelling of an already good book so it couldn't really go wrong. My only gripe was that I thought the characters were too accepting for the time period and their previous behaviour in the book, but we love a happy ending <3 Also, I love that Charlotte is sapphic in every version of P&P.
Extremely cute and I will most likely read this again.
I liked how the author changed some of the backstory and relationships to better suit the particular issues Oliver was going through, sidestepping the Lydia plot, etc.
I do think that some of the resolution felt a little rushed and that I could have used some more information about everything after the final confrontation- specifically about Charlotte and Mr. Collins.
However, the thing that stuck with me most (other than how much I enjoyed this, I don’t want to imply otherwise) was the question of whether, during his meal at the men’s club with Bingley and Darcy, Oliver was wearing a top hat through the whole meal.
But legitimately this book was very good and I liked it immensely.
