I learned more about the inner workings of politics from this book than I did in a classroom. This book chronicles President Obama’s decision to run for the Illinois Senate to the days during his first term. It ends with the capture of Bin Laden. No spoilers here. I will say reading that the last great chapters give you insight into the propaganda machine that is destroying this nation.

Lacking brevity, but at no point did I feel there was anything that wasn't purposeful.
His frank assessments of US foreign policy and military campaigns were great. The dysfunctional Congress was also evident throughout the book. But loved the thought process behind his 2008 campaign.
