I hoped this book would be more like Marzi’s web comics—funny and insightful. But the advice was very basic and the images really just repeated that advice instead of adding to it. Cute idea, though!

This is a lighthearted book full of fun doodles that illustrate how it feels to be an introvert in an extroverted world. The ideas are relatable and the story is fun to follow. The ways she expresses how introverts behave and navigate in this world are creative and whimsical, and I gleaned several nuggets of wisdom from the topics she covers.

In particular, reading about the tough experiences Marzi had as a child and being misunderstood really resonated with me because I am currently trying to help my sensitive and anxiety-prone son navigate social situations in kindergarten. I am desperately trying to find a balance between pushing him outside of his comfort zone and allowing him space to go at his own pace. Above all, I want to be a caring adult in his life and a safe place to take refuge.

This was such a fun, quick read, and I'm glad it exists for introverts to feel understood and be encouraged.

This is a cute, quick guide to protecting your energy and enforcing boundaries. I think all young adults could get something helpful from this, introverted or not.

I'm only giving this 3 stars because I personally have some issues with the introvert label. I think it's very limiting and can be a dismissive label for people struggling with mental health issues. Is true introversion even a real thing? How much of introverted behavior is a learned coping skill or a trauma response?

This book was such a treat to read. Marzi is a hilarious and well intentioned author. Her writing is easy to understand, and her message is inclusive and loving. There were so many sweet messages and takeaways from this book. Introverts will feel seen :-) I did! I loved this book!

I found this book very interesting and helpful. Provided lots of information that can help with an introvert like myself. There are a lot of lists as the doodles though which was sort of distracting for myself.

This was delightful, lovely, validating, and made me smile. A lot.
My only critique is that it wasn’t really new information for me; however, it will be for someone, and that’s valuable. And even if not new, it’s full of positive reminders, acceptance, and affirmation. Who doesn’t need that? Plus the doodles are so cute. Definitely recommend!
