Took a 3 month hiatus from reading in the middle of this book but it’s one of the best I’ve ever read

Basically the same book as “If We Were Villains” but I liked villains better. Possibly because I read it first. But I think objectively it’s better too. This one has more boring parts where I didn’t know where it was going or what it was talking about, and the characters were more obnoxious.

It took a while to get going but once it did it was amazing, Donna Tartt's writing completely made the characters and world feel real. It just got better and better as I read, especially the ending.

ho un buco nel petto ora che l’ho finito, e non penso che leggerò mai più un libro bello tanto questo.

I couldn’t get into it, not for lack of trying.

I can't really explain why I loved it, but I did. Truly a page turner.
