A powerful spin on the often told witchcraft narrative. The book moves at pace, flipping through alternating chapters from three women of very different eras, but telling not too dissimilar stories.

It’s fast, harrowing and really quite enraging - loved it.

I don’t tend to think of books as page turners. But I kept wanting to know what happened. The way the three stories blended throughout as more information unearthed felt like you were a fourth generation reading about your family. I loved it wholeheartedly.

My rating for Weyward is really because the story fell a little flat for me.  I've read a lot of other reviews that are around 2-3 stars and I agree with most other comments.  Just about everything awful that can happen to a woman does happen to at least one of the characters in this story.  There are no profound relationships that develop over the course of the novel so readers only get this slightest hint of the three protagonists interacting with those around them, even when the character is a close family member or close coworker.  The magical realism aspects are very unique, but also extremely subtle for the majority of the time.
