The series has a great magic system, world building, and character growth. The main thing that I didn’t like was the uselessness of the adults in the book. Those that weren’t useless were outright malicious . The deterioration of Kenna and Skandar’s relationship was real sad but I didn’t quite trust her from the beginning. I hope the Spirit Wielders will all get their unicorns. To me, the whole island institution needs to be torn down and rebuilt.

Another fabulous addition to the Skandar series. Great fantasy books for the young readers out there.

This was a fun time, though a little too predictable and I couldn’t quite get on board with some of the characters decisions and actions. They seemed to young for their 16 years of age.
