This is my new favorite book!

I don’t usually write book reviews but I just had to write one for this book! I loved this spin on one of my favorite fairy tales! Everything from the 1997 Brandy Cinderella references to Tillar & Cam’s relationship had me hooked. I appreciated how the author dealt with the toxic family relationships and I can’t want to see how the family dynamic of the Logan brothers will be handled in the remaining books!

Plus size heroine with good self-esteem despite the people around her.

📖 Book : Thickerella
✒️ Author : Tanzania Glover
⭐ Rating : 3 🌟
🤤 Spice : 🌶️🌶️

💭 Thoughts 💭 : I freaking love black love with quiet, strong men who know what they want and don't play games. 😩

Was not a fan of the female lead. 😒 She is not a nice person.

🖤 Favourite things about the book 🖤 :
1.  He got a new high bed just for her because it hurt her getting up from the low bed that he previously had even though they weren't officially dating yet.

📜 Favourite Quotes 📜 :
1. " My dark skin didn't bruise very easily and I looked sturdy so other men took that as  a license to be rough, but he always took his time and put my comfort first."
2. " Yeah you're deep in love with a ni**a. I'm talking that ocean floor, Keith Sweat deep love. It's down there with the Titanic, ain't it Tills?. He bragged. "

Not what I expected

I was very close to DNFing with this book I swear. I HATED the main character Tillar. While I understood what she dealt with as far as her toxic ass family she wasn’t much better herself. Just mean and manipulative for no reason sometimes. I wanted to tell “STAND UP” at Cam so many times it was ridiculous. I really wanted to like this book but I just couldn’t.
