A great read that was surprisingly easy to digest but will keep me coming back for its practical and insightful practices to develop a life that is deeply formed in Jesus Christ.

I feel like this book has a lot of applications to myself and would have many to Christians of all maturities in their faith. Villodas was able to name many of the spiritual yearnings and struggles that I have been feeling but was unable to truly locate. I appreciated the discernment that so obviously went into the book. It felt patient and thoughtful, full of weighty challenges that subvert the way I thought about the world while encouraging me to have grace.

I really enjoyed the chapters on racial reconciliation and sexual wholeness. These are tough topics and sure to spark controversy and argument, but I felt like Villodas was able to broach the topics with love and truth. It was timely and considerate elaboration on topics that many in the faith hide from or deny Jesus from accessing entirely.

Definitely a book I will return to and will encourage everyone to read.

This book will make you think in a good way! Full of deep truths and practical applications.

Rich has had the privilege of working under Pete Scazzero and he is furthering much of his important work on spiritual formation. I enjoyed the book and would recommend it!

Good book. However, there were various terms that he redefined which made it hard to follow. Many of the practices are very relevant to leading a Christian life.
