“Forget the names because names lie but remember me because when you look at me I remember myself.

Remember me because I will never forget you.”

This book is a guilty pleasure for me. Maybe it isn't a very impressive story, but I read it many, many times when I was younger and I still enjoy it. I love the "evidence" in the book and the art around the story. The pages are beautifully decorated with drawings from Cathy and little notes she writes. That makes the book complete and unique.

Reading this reminds me of the Griffin & Sabine books. The story is cleverly illustrated as the journal of 15 year old Cathy, who is in love with Victor, a Chinese immortal. Cathy can be immature and irritatingly self-absorbed at times, but overall the story moves at a good pace and when the book ends, we are curious to find out what happens next. I would recommend this to readers of Twilight.

when i picked up this book, i had no idea what it was about. i just needed something to read. the end kind of caught me by surprise. i had expected something like maybe illegal activity or drug trading. but immortality? never saw it coming.

I picked this up at the Mass Library Association 2007 Conference, after hearing the author speak about it. It's an interesting story, and I think if you actually did what you were supposed to -- call the phone numbers in the book, visit the websites & explore them, really examine the ephemera included -- it'd be super fun. But I just wasn't motivated to do that alone.

If anyone wants to borrow this let me know, it's kind of neat.

I liked the look of the book with all the little "extras" but it was missing details that would have made the story make more sense.

I thought this was really fun because of it being so interactive. But other than that it wasn't really a great story..

I bought this when it was first published because I loved the sound of it. It is completly different from the average novel with drawings and a cool packet of items inside the book to add a mystery concept.
