Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book!  The recipes added were a nice touch.  Each character was unique and imperfect and mostly wonderful.  The author’s descriptions are so vivid, the whole house came to life as I read the book.  My only criticism is that using the house as a sentient binder between the stories didn’t really work for me.  It felt like a gimmick and didn’t add much to my enjoyment of the story.  Definitely worth reading!  4.5 stars
