Made me tear up
once he found out he was in love. But the book picked up after that. Could not stand him though I get that they made him an absolute ass so he could be redeemed but it was still gross to read all of the sexiest fatphobic bull that the writer chose to make Landon say.
Enjoyed it overall but couldn’t get over how the beginning writing was to give it 5 stars.

Of course I had already seen the movie before reading this but I sincerely loved how different this is to the movie. This has such a timeless feel to it that the movie doesn’t quite capture being more modern. I loved the purity of Landon’s and Jamie’s relationship. Just such a sweet love story that will always be a classic!

I read this book because my friend recommended it to me. I just listened to it while I walked my dog and enjoyed the story. Today I hit the chapter when Jamie and Landon became a couple and had little suspicions that maybe Jamie was going to die. I didn’t know why but the thought lurked in my mind. I was still shocked more than ever when she revealed that she was sick. Right at that moment she talked about her wedding dream I thought, they have to get married and once they did it was the sweetest and saddest thing. I recently just lost a loved one to illness and so it was really hard to read the last few scenes and I definitely ended it in tears. This is my second romance book and definitely not my last. I enjoyed this story but it was truly just devastating.

Very good book. Bittersweet and an actual teenage love story-which there aren't many of
