Sweet little read about their plans right after they said I do. To Mexico & then Paris. Something semi extreme happened in Paris which is why he decided to buy her, her own island for the sake of their honeymoon

I understand this is a novella, but I was thinking it would be about something a bit different when it came to the Starks.

Sexy read, but not what I was expecting. We could've left this series with the Take Me installment.

Apparently my local OverDrive library thinks this is book #1 of a series -- that's the only reason I decided to read it over the holiday. I just kept wondering when I was going to learn ANYTHING about this couple. Now I see that it's actually further along in the series, so I assume most people have the benefit of knowing this couple. Therefore, I'm bumping it up to 3-stars -- giving it the benefit of doubt. I don't usually read erotica, so perhaps just skip over my review here. I prefer there be an engaging storyline on which the sex and passion is built (and not the only focus). Nevertheless, what I struggled with most was the cheese factor. He knows her better than she knows herself. He gives her everything she needs. I get annoyed when Nikki can't seem to survive without Damien -- like she has no spine, no passion, no drive in life outside of him. He makes her whole. He's her very air. She needs him to function. I might have injured my eyes by rolling them and cringing. I happen to love sex. I've been married to an amazing man for over 25 years and he's quite skilled in giving me pleasure and great variety. So when Nikki and Damien always pull off a perfectly choreographed sexual experience and never ever fail to reach climax at precisely the same exact moment, it's honestly such a turn off. But... I do realize that's what many readers are looking for when they grab erotica -- an escape from reality, including real sex and real intimacy.

I think I would have liked this more if I read it right after the last book.
