This anthology is diverse, and some essays resonated for me more than others.

This book was written by various writers about their experiences with healing, power, feminism, etc. While I enjoyed the book for the most part it did get tedious towards the end and I ended up skimming the rest. So 3 out of 5 stars because it failed to keep my attention but you may think different. :-)

Some of the essays were exceptionally compelling. All of them were well written. I only shaved off some stars because the essays were very specific, so a batch of them didn't appeal to me at all. But there was a lot of diversity in the book, and that's important, good work.

I liked it, but I didn't love it. The review is in regard to the audiobook only.

LIKES:
Content warnings at the beginning of the book as well as at the start of each essay. It may seem like a small thing to notice, but as a listener, it's a much-appreciated detail.
Content from a diverse collection of womxn.

DISLIKES:
The performance itself was flat at times. I would have liked it more if the essays were read by their original authors.
The disclaimers at the beginning of the book left a sour taste for me. I think this is definitely a format issue, as most people skip the introductions and forewords in physical copies.

Overall, I enjoyed Becoming Dangerous. I will likely try a physical copy as the audiobook wasn't a total hit for me.

21 essays from a variety of female contributors. Some are quite hard to understand. The language is quite high falutin.

This was a decent collection. There wasn't anything I found especially inspiring or revelatory, but there were some interesting voices that I was happy to hear from.
