I’ve read werewolf fics on AO3 in the past and this gave me the vibes those books did, and I mean that as a total compliment! I liked the characters and the lore a lot. This was a quick, smutty read!

This is so different from what Ali usually writes, but I was so here for it. Misery seemed like a hilarious main character, Ana was absolutely adorable, the connection at the end still threw me for a loop, Owen is amazing, and their dad is one sick bastard. I still didn’t fully understand the politics, but I enjoyed being here for the ride, and was very, very intrigued by the ending. I would LOVE a second book, but that’s just me.

Anyways, overall, very nice, enjoyed their love story, third act breakup was sick and twisted and cliche but alas, would reread.

It's pretty good. The main character is humorous, and the dynamic between her and the love interest is refreshing, with consent being a huge aspect of their burgeoning relationship. Tropey, but a fun read that doesn't take itself too seriously. A LOT of sex, so if that's not your thing, it might be better to skip it. Heads up: it's very heavy with Omegaverse tropes and is VERY graphic with the sexual aspects of the dynamic.
