A very quick read, fun vibes so even though despite all the trigger warnings it’s a light read. Also it’s not omegaverse, just regular old werewolf knotting which pleased me in my reclusive fandomy heart because I do not want that trope to go public! Some bits were predictable, but overall a good read.

Pros - made me feel things, basically.

Cons - the characters..
Didn't feel any connection towards any of them. The one character I did like ended up making me angry. (*cough* Lowe.)
- Would've been a four star if it wasn't for.. (PROBABLY)
The mid act breakup (if you'd call it that)
I still don't understand what the point of Lowe going "Oh you misunderstand", "You do not understand Were words", and "We should be apart" was.

- Ali Hazelwood couldn't seem to make up her mind.
One minute, I was sure Misery was Lowe's mate. Literally, I was screaming at Misery at how obvious it was. Next, I wasn't sure because it wasn't mentioned for a while. Then Misery put the pieces together.

Don't get me started on Owen's twist up.
One minute, I was POSITIVE it was a plan between Lowe and him. I said to myself, "There's no way Owen is seriously going to back down from the council." Then he gave his father that prideful look.

Bride by Ali Hazelwood was not thoroughly polished and the naming convention was a bit basic and cringey, but I honestly did not care. Maybe because I knew that this was her first dip at Fantasy, so I was a forgiving with everything. Ali Hazelwood is really good at forced proximity trope and all. I loved how funny misery is despite her name lmao She was a fighter was hoping for more action but the romance in this book is wow, no words for its hotness! I need more of Lowe's POV. I think this will be a series soon!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

I didn't expect to enjoy this book as much as I did, but I couldn't stop reading.
I loved the characters and the chemistry between them.
There were a few decent plot twists, and the world building was good.

Overall a great read!
