OMG! I don’t have words. I’m obsessed! This book was everything I thought it would be and more. It’s completely different from anything Ali Hazelwood has done before, and I’m here for it all. I love the main characters, the side characters, the villains, the pets, just everything! Were some ‘big reveals’ obvious to me early on? Yes. Did that make me enjoy it any less? No. I was fully engaged and absorbed in this book and couldn’t put it down once I started. I really hope she writes more books either in this universe or of this type. I love her STEMinist novels, but this was just as good, despite being so different.

For anyone who has read A/B/O fics and wished published works were more like that, this is for you. Be prepared for sassy and sarcastic characters with attitude, twists and turns with red herrings, and adorable scenes that will make you squeal. This book is knot for those with hemophobia. I might have to explore more books labeled ‘paranormal’, as I always thought it meant ghosts and demons, not vampires and werewolves.

A very classic werewolf/vampire love story, with all your favourite tropes. Ali Hazelwood delivers yet again with another solid romance novel that is lots of fun. The plot is a little rambley and the sometimes overly convoluted but it’s still very enjoyable. I’m looking forward to the next one!

📖
I went back and forth on how I wanted to rate this book. I enjoyed it and I thought it was cute, but it's not my favorite Ali Hazelwood book. I decided on three stars because I think this book is alright. I am likely to re-read it in the future, but I don't think it will be high on that list.

I thought this book was cute and I had a good time reading it. I don't have much commentary on the characters or their relationships -- I think they were all fine l, but no one really stood out to me as my favorite character. The writing style kept me interest, like Hazelwood's other books, and the plot was fine though I found it to be predictable.

Honestly my biggest issue with this book were the main characters names -- Lowe and Misery. Personally, I don't like those names and I think they're horrible.

I could not put this book down. I absolutely adored the characters. Misery being naive to Lowe's feelings was truly believable, which is something that I feel like a lot of authors struggle to pull off.
