For someone who is interested in the WWII history or likes to read diaries or memories, this is a powerful book that makes us think of what humankind is capable of doing. At the same time, this girl's innocent writing amazes me and makes me wonder how can they keep sane and keep doing normal daily stuff.
As an extra, I recommend to those who like the subject, to go once in your life to Poland (Auschwitz) to see how the concentration camps were and Amsterdam to visit the Annexe.

had to read before I go to Amsterdam and I think everyone should read it. It shows a young girl going through what every young girl goes through but in a small little space and with no interaction from people outside of her family and a couple other people bc of WWII & it also brings to life the realities of WWII which I forget about.
I don’t think it’s possible to review this book. The hope at the end is crushing.
