This is a looooong book. I did not enjoy it. Yes, there were a lot of good things, but my goodness there were a lot of things I didn’t like. There’s always some suspension of disbelief needed, but the hero must have been a terminator to survive the punishment he received. I just stopped caring about him. And stealth technology that renders missiles invisible to not only electronic tracking, but the human eye? Space mining? Alien spores? I found it all too ridiculous.
