First line: "The blaze of sun wrung pops of sweat from the old mans brow, yet he cupped his hands around the glass of hot sweet tea as if to warm them."

Very definitely creepy. But also extremely close to the movie. If I had to choose between the two, though, I'd say read the book and skip the movie.

3.5

I loved how clinical this was for the majority of the book, it made it all the more unnerving as things progressed.
