so i sort of liked most of the book- it's simple (and bland) with some beautiful lines here & there, but there were clearly classist and racist lines, so i googled about it- and yeah, the guy was a massive dick. ironic that a man who fantasised about everyone bloating up with poop before finally shitting on sundays would consider that darker the skin, more 'primitive' they are (and thus he gets a pass on assaulting black men). calling homeless beggars 'diseased,' using slurs to refer to black people in a supposedly wholesome poetry book.
