I basically wanted to highlight this whole book. It perfectly balances keeping things light and fun while also diving into the depths of its characters' emotions. And talk about high heat - whew!

The main couple was such a delight - Henry is the uptight hero, while Margo is a walking disaster of a heroine. Added bonus: Henry has been into Margo for years, the quiet pining!

Unlike so many romance novellas, this book did not suffer with the shorter format. The characters and plot were well developed, and while I would have loved to spend more time with them, it wasn't necessary for the story. I ordered the remaining books in series before I even finished this one.

A short regency romp, with a friends-to-lovers set-up and some spicy scenes. This was fun and very easy listening, but on occasion it felt like a spin-off novella of a longer book/different series (characters were mentioned who we'd never met) which took me out of the story a bit. I also would have liked it to be a bit longer!

Cute, love the sexually experienced vs non-experienced genders were reversed. Was Margo a manic pixie dream girl? Potentially.

This is a novella. I didn't realize this at the beginning, so it felt very rushed, which it was, for a novel.

I don't know if I actually would have stayed with it if it had been a novel -- neither Henry nor Margo were characters I wanted to spend a full book with -- but they were delightful for the length of the book.
