What the heck was this book?
This book contains a lot of triggers.
The plot was ridiculous.
SPOILERS:
Heroine was about to be gangraped by H and his merry friends. She escaped only to forgive them five minutes later. I am not even kidding. She forgave them FIVE minutes later the horrific attempted gangrape.

Didn’t need the exist and adds nothing to the series, chapters, or the story line.
Action packed holiday story for the messed up families?
After reading all here is how I would rank them.
1. Kill switch
2. Hideaway
3. Nightfall
4. Conclave
5. Corrupt
6. Fire night

I left feeling the same way about this book that I did after the first, but this one is a little bit better.
Why? Because it gives everyone that all wrapped up with a bow feeling. Not really something I needed but I guess it’s a good way to wrap up the groups story.
William has always been in love with Emmery, and but some luck they end up in the same “prison”.
Theo book had to much back and forth between the jumping form present to past, making it choppy and the hardest the follow. The whole being of the book I was just like, “finish a thought before we switch again!”
There romance is okay, Emmery has a good back story to come back from.

can i just say, the plot was great towards the ending. i loved the highschool flashbacks and the end few chapters of the book. everything else was a no for me. everything that went down at blackchurch was so confusing and boring and i disliked it because they never talked about anything. they just kept jumping on each other randomly and going back to hating each other there was ZERO progress until i was 70% in the book and SHE proposed to HIM out of nowhere, even though a day ago they were screaming at each other on the train.
let me just say, i disliked emory so much. i went in wanting to love her character so much because she was described as the silent nerd which i loved but she was just SO ANNOYING, she did not deserve will AT ALL and emory’s mood swings were giving ME whiplash poor boy had to tolerate all her bs for so long. i loved will so much though what a king i am a firm believer that she broke him and i NEVER take the man’s side but i just tried so hard to love her character but there was just no redemption she treated him like shit for so long i mean the amount of times i had to throw my kindle down because she was just pissing me off so much. her best scenes were with everyone OTHER than will she was just intolerable for the most part.
don’t get me started on the train scene with all the girls. so awkward. just out of place and uncomfortable because personally i felt like all the ‘sharing’ scenes in the whole series just ruined all the dynamics for me and i skipped through every single one of them but this one was really bad, oh and the scene with alex aydin will and emory also felt really misplaced. also hated how alex was used in this book and i liked her in all the other books. the smut was so unnecessary and ruined all the romance and felt so out of character i physically cringed.
it wasnt tooooo bad but the whole blackchurch timeline was not enjoyable for me maybe i have to reread it to fully like it because so many people love this but idk it wasnt good per se. okay rant over.
