such a good way to finish off this series! i’m actually so sad it saying goodbye to these characters, but am very excited to read fire night. i’m so down bad for will. emmy is so babygirly. overall i’m so glad i got to meet and fell in love with every single character in this series. this is definitely one that i’ll be thinking about when im old and shrively

I literally CRIED when I found out Rika was pregnant!!! It healed something in my soul finding out she was having that baby.
The kids ... omg I just loved the next generation of the Horsemen.
I want more of the kids.
Madden is 1000000% a Torrence. He is 100% Banks' child. I'm glad she fucked those dudes up. I agree with Damon wholeheartedly that he shouldn't feel am ounce of shame for protecting himself and Octavia and killing those idiots.
I love that it took Damon so many tries to get a girl 🤣 She will be his karma.
Athos and Michael ❤️ that relationship is fantastic. He is such a good father. Athos fits in like she was born there.
This dialogue between Damon and Winter during his mini mental breakdown literally brought tears to my eyes ....
"I’m not a good father.” I breathed out a sigh, clutching her. “Ivarsen has no discipline. He’s going to be undriven. Fane is neurotic. Everything has to be perfect. Gunnar is going to blow us up with his machines. Dag has refused to eat a vegetable since birth, and Octavia’s going to wind up in a fucking asylum when she finds out real life pirates are just terrorists with grenade launchers.” I gulped, hating that after thousands of years there was still no proven method of raising kids. “I don’t know what to do. How the hell would I know what a good parent does and doesn’t do?Kai’s kids had great manners and were fairly quiet. Athos was smart, ambitious, and determined. Will’s children never fought him on anything. They did what they were told the first time he asked.

But I stopped the thought in its tracks, remembering Ivar helping his mom make pancakes this morning.

Gunnar was so good about helping with spills, so his mom wouldn’t slip. Fane helped her pick out books at the store for Dag and Octavia, describing the pictures and story, so she knew what to buy"

Only a two star rating bc of will and all the other characters. I literally felt like I was having an aneurysm reading from emorys perspective… also idk if it’s bc my corrupt book is so old but why was emory spelled emery in corrupt?? random but I’m glad it’s over again.
first time I read it I didn’t like emory either, tbf I never liked her from the beginning on (first books) so maybe I’m biased but whatever. Thought maybe I could give it another go but it was just as bad. Also this may be an unpopular take but I do not understand why emory and will are together. There’s legit no connection to me… emory was horrible to him legit up until they escaped blackchurch and then all of a sudden they’re getting married?? WHATTTT!!!! I GASPEDDDD.
