3.75 - Light, easy read. My only issue with the book was that there were some pretty heavy topics that the author brushed upon, and while I understand not completely diving into them, I think they needed to be fleshed out a little more - particularly with Kirby's storyline.

This was a typical chick lit, beach read type of book. Nothing deep about it and frankly it was a little too contrived for my taste. I graduated high school in 1969 and I witnessed many of the events cited in this book, so that part was interesting to me. However, the references to popular music of the day were a bit much for my taste. The book did keep my interest due to the story line however. And the author writes about Nantucket lovingly and knowledgeably.
