It starts off as a fast paced war story. But as the story advanced, I found the Military strategies and decisions employed less than believable. Then it veers off course into a romance.

I think overall, the action scenes present were good.

The "steampunk" aspect was very short-lived in the novel. I would have liked to see more of the Aeronauts or more steampunk elements in general since the cover states "a Steampunk tale of World War I."

But the rest of the story I didn't really care too much about. Even the part where he saves the world.
I felt like the romance between Sara and Preston was kind of normal and has been played out before.
The jealousy Preston felt, seemed to be extremely drawn out and forced.
