I'm not sure how to rate or review this.

It is always a pleasure to immerse myself in the wonderful art of Alex Ross. And I particularly enjoyed seeing the X-men and the Sentinels in his gorgeous rendering. The story itself felt rushed and underdeveloped. A man who swore off Marvels and embraced cynicism after witnessing the failures of several supers trying to hang onto optimism is an extremely potent theme, particularly in these times. Perhaps if this had been an oversized 80 page issue or a miniseries there would have been time for the reader to simmer and take in the mood. But on page 2, we see a spread of the X-men and the Sentinels aren't too far behind (beautifully drawn though they maybe) and soon we see a fight from Phil and his kids perspective.
