This book was not as long as the first one and I felt like there were certain aspects I really missed from the length of the first one. I really wanted to see Garrett and Jennie interacting with the whole group. I wanted to see the dynamic of the boys giving Garrett shit for being in a relationship but I also understand why the book was mainly focused on them living in their little bubble they both really needed to build their friendship with each other to then build a relationship. The problems also felt a little redundant at some point like it felt like the same issue kept coming up again and again. I love how gentle Garrett was with Jennie and how patient he was with her. It was so fucked up the shit her high school boyfriend and her dance partner did to her. The high school boyfriend especially deserved to be in fucking jail or ten feet under for the shit he pulled with Jennie that shit was fucked up. Also I kept hoping they were going to randomly run into Carter or that the reveal was going to be a bigger deal than it was. Love love loved their relationship though it was really cute!! One question I did have though.. I know Garrett found the stuffed animal but did he find the locket?? He bought her the new one but they didn't really address the old one. This author is so fucking good at epilogues its insane the one in this book and the one in the last book were incredible!!!!!!

LOVED this book! Listened to the audio book of this book and it’s motivated me to go read the paperbacks I own for the next two! There are minor-ish spoilers in this review!!
First of all I loved seeing Jenni grow throughout this book, and I loved how mature and patient Garret was with her, I was swooning over him so much throughout this book!
I really enjoyed most of the characters in this book! And I WISH the nice Ashley became friends with Jenni

I think I liked this one a little better than the first, but some points remain the same, cringy at times and sex on their minds at all time, but I really was very entertained all throughout. And maybe I only liked it better because I knew what to expect, maybe I will return to consider me at some point.
