Garret Anderson is book boyfriend material. He is the perfect example of a book boyfriend. I loved this story and watching these two fall in love. I also loved that they didn’t break up but worked through their conflicts. 10/10 on the romance scale

Loved the book but it did feel drawn out, this is a longer read than my typical romance. I enjoyed the way topics like grief, addiction and dance culture were covered. The spice aspect was also refreshing, still maintained realistic experiences and the involvement of toys is something I hope becomes more normalised in fiction outside of more smutty books.

Okay, so I don’t know why I’m continuing on in this series that absolutely refuses to cut 100 pages easily. However, I did enjoy Jennie and Garret as characters WAY MORE. My biggest gripe is that Carter singlehandedly ruins the series. I’ve never read so many lines of speaking while chewing food. Carter is the most annoying, unlikable, toxic, obnoxious male character with negative personal growth and even though he’s not the main character oh my gawd he manages to ruin it still. Like seriously, poor Olivia with the way he speaks about their personal life to his teammates with a microphone. I could go on but I digress. Jennie also started pissing me off a bit. I thought the whole “people only like me because of my hockey brother” was a bit trite but I get it she had other traumas that all compounded and then top it off with the worlds most manipulative brother! Someone tell me why I’ve already downloaded the third book?
