Garrett and Jennie work so well because they are different but the same. They both have trauma from their childhood that affects them in the present day but they express it very differently, but because of that similarity in trauma, they are able to empathize with each other.

Garrett was exactly what Jennie needed. Someone who could see her for everything she was and not what other people thought she was. Someone who showed up just for her.

It was frustrating knowing Carter was not going to approve their relationship. I think it is so silly to not talk to someone because they are in a relationship that you think you do not like without having even talked to either person in the relationship. I think Jennie should've been harder on him for how dumb he was acting.

I think I would've liked to have seen Jennie develop her relationship with her friends more. I also would've liked to see Jennie be more of a support to Garrett like he was for her. I think sometimes, Jennie felt a little immature to me and I wanted her to be able to be that foundation for Garrett to prove her maturity a bit more.

This book was ok. It was more spice than plot which is not what I look for. I also felt like the FMC was immature and a few of the writing aspect really drove me crazy, like how the author would write in an effect of how they were talking and it just read as baby talk to me. Overall it was alright. I did like the MMC and the love story was cute.
