Really enjoyed this book and the characters, but the end didn’t feel “right”. I am always critical of book endings and I think that if I like a book I am even more critical! Just wanted it keep going, but I know it had to end eventually.

This was interesting and felt a little too close to home, but I enjoyed it overall. The pacing was a little uneven but the world building (or rather, world breaking down) was fascinating and well done. It felt real to me and the touch of magical realism in it was interesting. This was a good read!

This book is told in 4 very different time periods/ sections. The first one was a bit odd and I didn't really connect with it as much as the others. Once I got into the other sections though it was gripping. It reminded me of the Parable of the Sower/Talents in its Dystopian realness. I did feel like this was a possible future if we continue with climate change the way we are now.

This is an incredibly enjoyable read and I liked the change in tone for each of the sections. The first section has some of the best action writing I've ever read. The last section is beautifully tender and exactly right. The middle sections are an interesting and compelling look at the way things could go if rising seas and other climate effects cause society to crumble.
