no amount of decent poetry can make up for being this deeply annoying
I half read this half listened to the audiobook. Have to say, if you are not versed in Milton, I would read along while listening to the audiobook. That seems to be the best way to grasp what the hell is going on. I was truly lost (ha!) many times while reading this but at least I can say I read it!

i'm surprised about how much i enjoyed this
The language in this book is beautiful and many elements are really enjoyable even within such a well known plot. However Milton had some serious issues with women that ruin a lot of the poetry and ideas - unless he's being deeply deeply sarcastic...?!
