This one was right up my alley. I enjoy darker reads from time to time. I have to say this is the biggest fear every parent has. I really enjoyed reading this one. I kind of wish that this was a series or there was one more book that let us know more. I just wanted more. It was gritty but not too gritty. She did a good job at not scaring too many people off with the direction that she could have taken it. It could have gotten SO much grittier and darker than it was. It was well written I thought.
She is definitely an author to keep an eye on for me. :)
