Declan and Stacia - a dynamic duo
I loved traveling back to the world where Declan O’Carroll lives. This was my favorite book of the series so far. The story focuses on Stacia and Declan. This is the 10th book in the urban fantasy Demon Accord series. I love that Declan’s character, despite having overwhelming magical powers, is still sweet, a bit naive, modest, and awkward man which makes him a very likeable hero. Declan is a very powerful male witch which is an anomaly. Usually only females have power. Stacia is a werewolf who received blood from Chris Gordon (a fallen Angel) at the time she was turned which gives her special abilities. In this book, Stacia goes to Maine to investigate what appears to be a killing by a rogue werewolf. As the story progresses, Declan joins her to help to eradicate a rogue werewolf pack being aided by a death magic witch. We finally get to see Declan and Stacia’s budding romance along with more information about Omega. Many of the characters from the other books are in this book as well though in few scenes. There are also some new characters who are introduced. The story includes what you’d expect from this genre - fighting, dangerous situations, paranormal creatures, evil masterminds, henchmen, loyal friends and family, tragic back stories, mystical coincidences, snark, and laughs. I will definitely keep reading the series to see what evil beings and plans are thwarted by Declan, Stacia and the rest of the crew.

It was great. Loved having another one of these to read and I loved Stacia and Declan together. I'm just a bit unsure about the demon were witch child.
Looking forward to thr birth of Chris and Tanya's babies and more of Stacia and Declan. Maybe more from college arcane.

This kind of felt like an tangent to the main story line and a little bit pointless, it doesn't really move anything forward for most the book and other than seeing things from Stacia's POV there doesn't seem to be much added by it. At the end, it's clearly starting a set up for the next story line but for most the book it just seemed a little disconnected from the rest of the Demon Accords world.
Such a good book. I'm going to be so sad when I catch up and have read them all. I swear they get better as you go. So many enemies, and frenimies.
This one is a smaller scale story than most of the series. It felt like a nice break after the world shaking in the last book. Despite this, it sets up yet another challenge for the team, which will play out in the next installment.
I rarely actually write reviews of books, but in this case I had to make an exception. The main thing you need to know is that this book is very much focused upon Stacia and Declan; the rest of the crew is almost nonexistent in this book. That said, John Conroe does a truly wonderful job of being able to switch between perspectives of multiple, well fleshed-out characters in a way that is done even better than in God Hammer which I enjoyed immensely.Stacia has played an important role in the story of Chris, Tanya, and Declan and I am very happy to see a book that explores her personality a bit more. I would have liked to see some more pack politics from her perspective, but that is the extent of my complaints about this book. John Conroe seems to get better every single book despite his outstanding position in urban fantasy already.
Conroe delivers again
Excellent characters marvelous story, he sucks you in and you can't put it down until you have finished. Now the horrible wait for the next story

enjoyed this book slightly different from stacia POV but still really good. full review to come
I would have given it a four star rating in spite of the action tending to fall into gun porn a bit, but I am not a fan of endings that are the beginning of the next book. It feels manipulative to me, even if it's not an outright cliff hanger.
