Not my taste but forced myself to finish reading. Lucky for me it was short.

I doubt I'll read the rest of the books in this series.

QUOTE
“Every time we parted, I felt as if I was breaking the surface of a pool: I gasped for air, vision blurred, my body light.”

THINGS I ENJOYED
  • It knows what it’s trying to do and it does it incredibly well
  • Very addictive
  • So, so hot 🥵
  • Although it’s heavily kinky and it plays with slave/master dynamics, the consent is always very clear/visible - so satisfying to see it so perfectly done
  • Even thought the smut is the main part/goal of the book, we can still see some fleshing out of the relationships and even some character development (that I wasn’t even expecting given the book is set in less than one day)
  • It’s exactly the size it needed to be (133 pages)

THINGS I DIDN'T ENJOY
… nothing really …

this is a book that I wouldn’t recommend to most people, but definetly
READ IF YOU ENJOY
KINKY SMUT
(do read the tw and kink list before going into this one to make sure it’s something for you)

UGH THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD! BEST 133 PAGES OF MY LIFE.

When I say I wanna read smut I mean this! Not necessarily the kink stuff but something with this amount of tension and chemistry. The smut was fucking incredible, though! It might've unlocked some kinks lmao! But it was so good, so intense and full of teasing. Ugh! Loooooooved it!

Manson and Jess were such interesting characters, and Laroux did an amazing job introducing them to us. I'm still surprised how she managed to show so much connection and chemistry between them in such a short time. Their interactions also felt so natural and flowy.

I highly recommend it if you want some good smut with lots of kinky shit. Do check out the trigger warnings and kinks involved before reading, though.

I enjoyed this book just as much as I did the first time I read it. It's still as hot and spicy at I remember it being. I still love Manson and his friends as much as I did before. I also loved how Jessica's friend Ashley supported whatever Jessica wanted to do and have Jessica a way out if wanted. I liked pretty much every character in this book. I don't know if that'll change in the Losers Duet or not but for now all the characters were really fun. I'm excited to get into the first book in the duet.

The first published book of Harley's that I have read and that went into a completely different direction with the plot.
It's Halloween themed. Do I love that? No. Do I love this book anyway? Heck, yeah.
I relate a lot to Jess, even though I don't like Halloween. I am also very careful with how society perceives me, and I tend to do the opposite of what I am told - and also, I am extremely coulrophobic, so when I read that some of Manson's friends were dressed up as clowns, I wanted to throw my phone across the room.
I know that the clown gang bang situation is not everyone's favorite, and to be honest, it isn't mine either, but if there's one thing that Manson got completely right it's that "getting scared turns the little angel on."
Speaking of Manson, I think he's my favorite out of all of Harley's male characters so far. He seems like the type of person a masochist would get along with well, because he knows those types of people, and he knows how to get them to want things they think they don't want.
But also you can tell that under his dom mask, he's a normal human being who also just needs love aside from control.
I think that's also what makes him and Jess such a perfect pairing - they both want love, but they're particular about how and when they receive it.
Harley, I hope you're reading this, because I need a sequel to this damn book.
