A little action; a lot of love
This third installment was good. I wish the writer had spent more time or done more with the final climactic scene. It was over and done in 1 page. It could have been a lot more exciting. Overall, the book was good. Again, I think there was really only a few sex scenes. The authors skips scenes, but not in a bad way. This book didn’t have as many funny moments as books 2, but that was because the plot was a lot more serious. There was still a really good scene where Magnus thinks Rachelle was a prostitute, sent by her brother to appease him. I’ll keep reading this series. It’s overall very entertaining. Not my favourite of the series but still nice.
The sexual chemistry was really high in this one and I felt like it was really what kept me reading this book otherwise I didn't think it was as good as its predecessors in this series.
Magnus is an arrogant prince who gets what he wants when he wants it. He is however loyal and pretty honest about what he wants. Doesn't stop him from prejudging people or thinking he knows best when he quite clearly doesn't.
Rachelle is pretty weak for this book, she doesn't have a great back bone and that is annoying. She gets angry but doesn't stand up for herself very much beside a few choice words (deservedly so in fairness) but she lets herself be swept up in the prince and really you lose her in the arrogance of his character.

Inhalt: In dem dritten Band "Erbe Royal" der Westerly-Reihe geht es um das Westerlyfamilienmitglied Rachelle. Da sie wieder mehr Kontakt zu ihrem Bruder Eric haben möchte, reist sie nach London. Auf einer Filmpremiere ihres Bruders fällt sie in die Arme von Prinz Magnus de Bartelebon. Das erste Zusammentreffen läuft alles andere als gut. Es kommt zu einem Missverständnis. Magnus braucht aber die Hilfe von Eric. Dieser weist ihn aber immer wieder ab. Denn während Magnus Pläne hat und Rachelle ihre Familie wieder näher zusammenbringen möchte, hat Eric seine eigenen Geheimnisse und Probleme.
Meinung: Das Cover finde ich schön. Der Mann und die Stadt verdeutlichen gut Prinz Magnus und sein Königreich. Die Schriftart und -farben finde ich auch sehr passend gewählt. Leider war der ungewöhnliche und eigene Schriftstil nicht meins. Auch die Charaktere konnten mich nicht überzeugen.
Prinz Magnus hat bei seinem ersten Auftritt bei mir schon ziemlich daneben gelegen. Mit der Zeit wurde es leider auch nicht viel besser. Mich hat seine Arroganz und Selbstherrlichkeit ziemlich genervt. Zudem empfand ich ihn als aufgeblasen und breitspurig. Die meiste Zeit hatte ich nicht das Gefühl als würde er wirklich tiefere Gefühle für sie haben. Es hat mich wirklich gestört, dass er immer seinen Kopf durchsetzen musste, wie zum Beispiel in der Szene bevor sie in sein Königreich geflogen sind. Gegen Ende wurde er ein bisschen sympathischer.
Rachelle war eindeutig ein besserer Charakter. Sie war mir sympathisch. Allerdings gab es immer wieder Stellen, wo sie mir zu naiv war. Ich hätte mir gewünscht, dass sie stärker ist und Magnus viel deutlicher in seine Schranken weist. Vielleicht wäre dadurch, die mir fehlende Chemie, zwischen den beiden besser geworden und hätte dazu führen können, dass er sich auch etwas ändert.
Mir war es ein bisschen zu viel Sex. Stattdessen hätte man der Geschichte noch etwas mehr Tiefe geben können.
Eric hat mir in der Geschichte am besten gefallen. Sein Charakter hatte etwas mehr Tiefe und seine eigene interessante Geschichte. Auch seinen Hausangestellten fand ich toll, aber sein Verhalten im Königreich etwas unrealistisch.
Die letzten Seiten waren gut. Es kam noch etwas Drama und Spannung rein. So etwas hätte ich mir während der ganzen Geschichte mehr gewünscht.
Fazit: Diesen Band kann man auch lesen, wenn man die beiden Vorgänger nicht kennt. Leider konnte mich dieser Band überhaupt nicht überzeugen. Mein großes Problem lag hauptsächlich am männlichen Hauptprotagonisten. Wer Badboys mag wird mit ihm sicherlich glücklicher als ich.

This book had a strange way of grabbing my attention right when I was about to give up on it. I would have probably liked this book more if I stared from the beginning of the series, but overall, it was pretty entertaining. My favorite character was Reggie, and he was barely in the book! The heroine was pretty one dimensional. The Hero was cool. I enjoyed the ending.

I love Rachel!
Rachel is caring and compassion. I adore her, and her drive to help her family. It really is lovely when a character is also a role model. I loved seeing how she would react throughout all the different situations she found herself in. Also, I love how she takes the time to understand Magnus even when he is coming off as a total dick. Haha.
Ruth Cardello has a way of tugging at your heartstrings, while giving you a plot that sucks you right in. Her characters are all flawed in their own way, and I love that about them. The character development, and how they all interact with each other, makes me so excited for the final books in this series.
