Now I’m even more worried about retirement! Also, I make much less than most of her advice assumes, though the chapters on life insurance and planning for parental care were illuminating.
informative
The most informative yet easy to understand financial book I have read thus far! Thank you for this wonderfully organized book.
You know the awkward sideways looking monkey meme? Yeah, I felt like that reading this book on a public teacher salary when Jill starts casually talking about making $300 k a year and having $1 mil to invest in the market.
I'm probably not her target audience (that would be upper middle class to moderately wealthy by MC standards), but there was still advice I could take away from her book, even if some was way beyond my financial means (I will probably never buy a vacation property, for instance).
I also really enjoyed when she yelled at the reader saying "I know it's boring JUST STAY WITH ME" and I enjoyed the audiobook, which I would really recommend. I feel I'm at the part of my life where I need to start really committing to saving and making smart choices, and this book gave me a lot of good things to think about on my drives home from work. Just know going into it though that she definitely seems to gear this towards upper middle class people with more than $100k easily a year who have million dollar nest eggs to worry about.

I for sure will each parts of this book every year. Very useful Indeed.
I don't know if I can recommend this, but it was really impactful on me as someone who considers themselves fairly advanced with their financial health, and has finally made me feel safe enough that I'm not missing anything as far as financial safety goes. No more personal finance books necessary after this one.
This is like, advanced level. If you're advanced enough that you read personal finance blogs or listen to personal finance podcasts, this is what you need to scratch that final itch.

Quick and easy read. I didn't agree with 100% of it, but she did have some good advice.
This was a well-written book - the tone that Jill uses somehow makes finance accessible and sometimes funny - but I don't think I was the intended audience. The tips and stories seemed to be mostly regarding people who already have beaucoup money and are making errors with the way they handle it. So good info, just not really relevant to me and therefore I wasn't as interested.

A useful, approachable guide to some of the major financial decisions you are likely (or guaranteed) to face.
Moderate: Body shaming, Death
I found this to be very interesting book with some important information regarding money and finance. Worth reading.
