I get it now. I understand why this series is people's Roman Empire.
I can't even begin to articulate how I feel about this book, but it is a masterpiece. I experienced so many emotions while reading it, and I devoured the last half in about 2 days. It's THAT good.
My brain is still processing everything that happened and my heart is so full of characters that I love.
This was so well done - the characters, the world-building, that huge plot reveal - I'm still mind-blown.
I think this one will stay with me for a long time. I can't wait to read more.

Wowowow!! Favorite book of the series so far. Everything came together, blew up, and settled in the most surprising way possible. I’m enjoying how we’re not getting the full insight into Aelin’s plans, and figuring it out alongside other characters. There is so much surprise and suspense and reveal in this book and I absolutely loved it. Tandem read here we go..
