Despite some controversy, I can't help but be fascinated by anything that takes place in this fantastic world. C. S. Lewis's storytelling is brilliant!

Empece este libro con poco entusiasmo porque pense que era el libro entremedio para poder leer el siguiente en el que aparecian los hermanos, pense que la historia de este libro no seria muy interesante pero me sorprendí gratamente cuando lo empece a leer porque me encontre con la historia de Shasta y Bree un caballo parlante y su travesía para llegar a Narnia. Fue una histori fenomenal, y con un buen ritmo, me encanto el leer las aventuras que tuvieron en el camino y como resolvieron sus problemas hasta llegar a su destino. Tuvo un buen desenlace y hasta un interesante plot twist en el final. Fue una sorpresa ver que la historia transcuria durante el reinado de Peter, Susan, Edmund y Lucy cuando ya son adultos y antes de colver por el ropero en el final del primer libro.
Sure, the writing is technically better, I guess, but holy shit. The entire plot is just racism. “Worry not, white child! Our Narnian (white) monarchy will save you from the barbaric (vaguely Arab coded) monarchy and its equally barbaric people!”
